Description: Rare 1950's/60's example of a Metropolitan Chair by Ejnar Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen for Fritz Hansen. Constructed of beech and teak wood.

"The name of the chair comes from the exhibition “The Arts of Denmark” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in 1960. It has been recognised as an icon of Danish midcentury design ever since."
